Now that our exams are over, the focus can shift from revision and studying, to planning our trip to Malawi. DASH to Malawi 2014 was an incredible experience and hopefully this year will be the same!
My current planning focuses for the trip involve:
- Writing a malaria report using statistics from the local clinics around Fisherman's Rest, to encourage everyone to take their anti-malarials
- Planning a water monitoring programme to ensure that the water coming from boreholes is safe to drink
- Finding a sponsor or donor to provide some much needed reagents for our water monitoring project
- Developing an action plan for the implementation of an albinism awareness programme around Fisherman's Rest and Mangochi
And there's a lot more to come!
