Yesterday afternoon Team DASH visited the local community centre. Last year when I visited Malawi as part of DASH 2014 we visited Tilitonse on a few occasions and I was overwhelmed by the work all of its volunteers do.
This year, we all decided that it is really important to spend more time there, and provide our help as much as possible in order to help them out.
The one teacher there serves a local community of thousands, and is only a volunteer, giving her time to help others for free.
- Fisherman's Rest staff also volunteer there on a nightly basis, helping to teach Maths (Masamu), English (Chingerezi) and bible studies (Romania Catholic and Islam) to hundreds of young children who go straight from school to the community centre to either continue learning or to play games.
